Just another snow storm

Today and yesterday we felt another winter storm. This one was a mixed bag of rain, ice, snow, and strong winds which knocked out the power in plenty of places. I took a drive out and about to view some eagles before they leave for the spring to head up north. Here is the one eagle I found and some shots of the road conditions. Enjoy your day especially those who live in warmer climates.

Moncton Motorcycle Show Recap

Another successful Moncton Motorcycle show is complete. Overall it was a good show with special presentations by Rene Cormier, and Heather Ireland standing out from the crowds. Nova Scotia and New Brunswick tourism had great information on hand to give away. I was really impressed to learn about some great new to me riding areas near St. Andrews. Looking forward to riding there this year.

Rene Cormier - Round The World Rider

This is the new Super Tenere from Yamaha. I loved the layout of the major components but was disappointed with the luggage that was made with thin metal. One bump and it would implode for sure. This is a fine bike for most, but definitely not hard core.

Here is a Kawasaki KLR. Brand new $7149 and many after market parts are available for this to turn it into a long distance affordable traveller. 

Ducati KTM and Kawasaki displays. Overall a great show for the Maritimes and one I will attend again. 

Moncton Motorcycle Show is on this Weekend

I plan on going to this show barring any bad weather. So far it looks good. Will report back on the high lights of the show. Stay tuned.

Noreaster in Nova Scotia

Our Standard poodle puppy doesn't seem to care that there is a major snow storm happening in Nova Scotia. She found something outside to chew on and is lying down oblivious to the fact that it is freezing out with all the wind and snow.

What a beautiful location to be living in. The snow and hills with a small river near the property. I shot three photos and then did some HDR processing on the top picture. Click to see the results. Hope you like it.

The wind made the icicles bend towards the house in the second picture. Cool effects.

Winter Storm in Nova Scotia

We were forced to stay inside yesterday due to the large amount of snow so Rosie made some muffins.

For those who may not know it, Brown Standard Poodles act like clowns a lot of the time. That makes them fun to be around.

A couple of these guys were flying around Greenwood today putting on a little show.  This guys right wing was pointing straight down to the ground and he was pulling some G. Looks like fun!

Plus 7 Celsius today, so it was time for a quick ride and wash.

Happy New Year to all. 2011 started of with a very warm day so what else could I do but go for a quick ride and then wash the bike. Have a great year everybody.
